While I haven't been to every city in US, I have been to many of the larger GLBT cities such as San Francisco, New York, Ft. Lauderdale, South Beach, Chicago, Santa Fe, Los Angeles, and a few others, but nothing compares to the latest community I've had the priviledge to spend time in.

This past January, while wintering in Florida, some friends were discussing how much they loved Rehoboth Beach, Deleware.  They spoke about having a vibrant community where most folks know each other, and are involved in the community in some fashion, and they invited me to visit.

I arrived in Rehoboth on May 21st.  Today is July 3rd, and I'll be returning home next week.  Having spent just over a month already, I find it difficult to leave.

Rohoboth Beach is a magical place, and it's not the place specifically which makes Rehoboth so charming, it's the people.  People who smile!  People who introduce themselves and want to know who you are.  People who introduce you to others!  People being kind and supportive to one another.

Camp Rehoboth, the GLBT Community Center's mission proudly states:  Welcome to CAMP Rehoboth, a nonprofit community service organization dedicated to creating a more positive environment in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and its related communities. We seek to promote cooperation and understanding among all people, as we work to build safe inclusive communities with room for all.

Rehoboth Beach draws successful professionals from nearby cities such as Washington DC, Philidelphia, Baltimore and New York.  There are a large number of retired Gay & Lesbian couples, who have invested their financial success into a thriving GLBT community.

If you're looking for a vibrant and welcoming GLBT community and are considering relocating, Rehoboth Beach Real Estate isn't outrageous for the area.  Large 2-3 bedroom homes are available in the $299k and up range.  In addition to Rehoboth, there are several other Deleware Beach Real Estate opportunities including nearby Lewes & Dewey, just North & South of Rehoboth Beach respectively.

Yes, I've become extremely enchanted with Rehoboth Beach, and even though I'll be returning to Indy next week, I know I'll return to Rehoboth Beach very soon.
