The Indiana State Department of Health HIV/AIDS division in conjunction with The Health Foundation has brought a wonderful tool to Indiana from San Francisco called InSPOT. InSPOT is an anonymous Web-based partner-notification service that allows infected individuals to alert their partners (even anonymous ones with e-mail addresses) about the need for preventative treatment and testing...without involving the Health Department. All you need to do is go to the Website; select an e-card; create a message; put in your partners' e-mail addresses and send. The more men exposed to an STD get tested and treated, and understand how to important it is to protect themselves, the safer we all will be. To make it work, however, we need your help in getting the word out. The URL is below. http://www.inspot.org/gateway.aspx and select Indiana InSPOT also has information on STD's and where to go for testing and treatment. If you have groups that you think could help us spread the word, please send this on. Janet N.
