Community art project- Felix Gonzales-Torres - 2006/01/04 21:56So I'm currently attending IUPUI and working with one of the professors there. The two of us have been working on a community project that's art oriented. What we're doing is this-
Located around Indy are works of public art. Our current focus, and of particular interst to this forum, is on the photographs done by Felix Gonzalez-Torres that are posted around town. The photos in question are of hands. We've set up a webpage (http://mypage.iu.edu/~marcaro/arttalk/) with the locations of the artwork. We plan on switching the art out periodically (eventually), but this is sort of a trial run. What we would like would be for people viewing the art to be able to call us on their cell phones and leave anonymous opinions. These comments will then be placed on the webpage as a downloadable podcast.
In case you're wondering, a podcast is just like a radioshow, but downloadable from the internet. Therefore, other people would be able to download these anonymous thoughts and listen to them.
It's still in the initial stages. We've just got the webpage up. But if any of you have seen the hand photos located on billboards and buildings, we'd love to hear from you.
Thanks, and I appreciate it!
